PUBLIC
COMMENT
Make your voice heard! During the legislative session, consider giving public comment in committee hearings to share your thoughts, concerns, and support for legislative efforts.
Tips & Tricks
To make the most impact, plan on speaking for 2 minutes maximum and respect the committee’s time. State clearly whether you support or oppose the bill, why you support or oppose, and don’t repeat others' points.
**Note: If you plan on writing your comment, remember that 2 minutes equals about 200 words.**
